Message from Area 56 Director

It is my distinct pleasure to represent 6 strong, dynamic clubs in the Burlington and Waterdown areas. Each and every club in the area has their own unique strengths and cultures and all of them excel at providing a quality learning experience for their members.

At this time we are all gearing up for Contests and Club Officer Training.  We will be coming into the new year strong with Club Officer Training Round 2 happening January 27th from 8:30am to 12pm at Bishop Tonnos Secondary School in Ancaster, and February 10th from 8:30am to 12pm at Niagara College, Niagara-on-the-Lake.  Follow the link to all training on the home page to register for either of these sessions or any of the ones offered in the District.

Club International Speech and Evaluation contests are now scheduled in Area 56, followed by our Area contest scheduled for February 28th, 7:30pm to 10:00pm, hosted by Skyway Toastmasters at Cedar Springs Racquet Club.

And finally I will be completing my second round of club visits and visit reports in advance of March 30th.

And during all of this, the clubs are working hard at earning their Distinguished Club Points!  I am so proud of the work all the clubs are doing and I know as an Area we are going to finish very strong this year.
