Message from Area 96 Director
It is my pleasure to serve as Area 96 Director. Area 96 has two active Toastmasters Clubs. High Noon Toastmasters is a seasoned club that meets during the noon hour and has a committed team to help new members build confidence and leadership skills. Conestoga College is conveniently located on Doon Campus and offers a great opportunity for students to build communication and presentation skills. Both clubs have great energy and are dedicated to help its members grow.
I remember when I first joined Toastmasters, someone told me "this is going to transform your life". I remember thinking "that's got to be a bit of an exaggeration". However, five years later, I can tell you that Toastmasters has influenced my life is ways I never expected. I went from speaking publicly out of necessity to learning my strengths as a speaker and I now enjoy giving presentations. We all have the ability to learn to communicate more effectively, to adjust our presentation skills by altering our style and to learn how to be great leaders. It is a journey that continues to take us to new heights. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.
