An important part of Toastmasters training is learning about leadership. And the best way to become skilled at leadership is to experience it. Because of this, the electoral process is the heart of the district calendar. Choosing leaders or choosing to be a leader begins here…at nomination and at the ballot. District Nominating Committee In order to ensure successful district elections, the district governor must appoint a nominating committee. The work of the committee is critical in ensuring long-term district success. They must:
* Seek out prospective candidates * Evaluate and interviewing candidates * Nominate candidates * Provide a complete report of candidates
Our District 86 Nominations Chair is Immediate Past District Governor, Lori Lococo DTM
If the role of Area Governor interests you, please contact Lieutenant Governor Education and Training, Merri Macartney DTM
