Do you have a Pathways Level 4 or 5 project to complete? Or are you working on your high performance leadership (HPL)? The conference committee is a supportive, nurturing environment.
Some of the roles we’re looking to fill include:
- ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT – keeps meeting minutes and help team stay on track of Action items
- REGISTRATION CHAIR – Monitors Eventbrite and ensures easy check-in for all attendees on conference weekend
- BANNER PARADE CHAIR – Plan an online banner parade that showcases Divisions and Clubs of District 86.
- EDUCATION CHAIR – Solicits educational workshop presenters and select participants.
- LOGISTICS CHAIR/ZOOM COORDINATOR – Primary contact person regarding Zoom links, Zoom rooms, etc. Schedules Zoom Masters for each event during the Conference. Works closely with Minute-by-Minute Chair. Works with Minute-by-Minute Chair to ensure sufficient time between events to allow for Zoom setup, equipment checks, etc.
- ZOOM MASTERS – Manage Zoom functions during interactive conference sessions; admit attendees and mute microphones; enforce discipline in chat panel
- ACTIVATOR CHAIR – Ensures each Education Workshop has at least one Activator. Works closely with Education and Logistics Chairs
- ACTIVATORS – Introduces Education Workshop presenters, times the presenter, monitors the Zoom Chat, assists with Question and Answer, distributes evaluation form.
- COMMUNICATION AND LEADERSHIP AWARD – Assists Public Relations Manager to solicit and scrutinize nominees, coordinate award recipient’s attendance and keynote presentation
- PROGRAM CHAIR – Works with Conference Web Design team to ensure online program is easily accessible and detailed.
- DTM & FIRST TIMERS CHAIR – Invites new Distinguished Toastmasters to attend the DTM & First Timers Meet and Greet event and the DTM Recognition Event. Works with Conference Chair and Program Quality Director to plan the event
Please Note: Volunteers, like all District 86 Toastmasters, pay their own conference registration. Is it worth it? Absolutely! The price can’t be beat for the value received.
