“We empower individuals to become more effective communicators and leaders.”
— Toastmasters International Mission
Every day, people miss opportunities because they lack confidence in their communication.
Some hesitate to speak up in meetings. Others avoid presentations, interviews, networking events, or leadership roles because public speaking feels intimidating. Many simply wish they could express their ideas more clearly and confidently.
Toastmasters exists to change that.
If you are visiting our website for the first time, I encourage you to attend a meeting as a guest. You’ll experience a positive, encouraging atmosphere where members learn by doing, support one another, and celebrate every step of progress. Every accomplished speaker in Toastmasters started by walking through the door as a guest.
For our members, you are our greatest ambassadors. Every invitation you extend, every success story you share, and every guest you welcome helps someone discover an opportunity that could change their life. Public relations is not just about social media or marketing—it is about sharing the value of Toastmasters with our communities.
Throughout the year, the District 86 Public Relations Team will work to increase awareness of Toastmasters by promoting our clubs, celebrating member achievements, sharing educational resources, and supporting clubs with tools that help them attract and retain new members. Our success will be measured not only by the reach of our communications, but by the number of new guests who walk into our clubs and begin their own journey of growth.
Communication opens doors. Leadership creates opportunities. Toastmasters develops both.
Whether you are discovering Toastmasters for the first time or have been a member for many years, thank you for being part of District 86. Together, we can help more people find their voice, develop their leadership potential, and experience the life-changing benefits of Toastmasters.
I look forward to welcoming many new guests to our clubs this year.
