Wayne J. Tuttle - District Keynote Speaker

Wayne J. Tuttle is a sought-after Canadian award-winning motivational speaker, Corporate Speaker Coach, and workshop facilitator who delivers inspiring messages that shifts attitudes, influences new ideas, and shares new ways of doing things that will inform and motivate audiences, to lead a happier, healthier, and more productive life. Despite his diminished  eyesight, Wayne has an incredible insight of the world around him. Wayne’s unique stage name, “That Blind Guy”, is a reflection of his perceived disability and his humorous defiance against the social label so often attached to vision loss. Wayne’s gift of blindness demonstrates to the sighted world how the perceived impossible is possible.

Wayne has been engaging, educating and entertaining global audiences for over 4 decades on
the live stage and virtually.

Wayne has been a dedicated member of Toastmasters since 2016 and has taken on several
club executive roles as well as a club coach for 2 different Toastmasters clubs.

at the same time will be completing his final projects for his DTM accreditation.

Since the age of 7 years old Wayne has been the only Canadian blind aspiring ventriloquist. On Saturday, April 26th, 2025 Wayne will be joined by his long-time friend “Ted The Turtleneck Turtle”. During this hilariously and interactive presentation, you will be able to witness Wayne’s Can Do Attitude with some giggles and guffaws. Waynes message is simple… “Success Comes In Cans NOT Cant’s”

Workshop Presenters

The conference will feature educational workshops by Toastmasters from our own District.
The workshops at our conference will center around these themes.

– Personal growth
– Professional development
– Leadership
– Communication
– Emerging technologies *NEW*

As a workshop presenter at the conference, you will need to be a registered participant at the conference. Each workshop is planned for 45-55 minutes (one hour including setup and presentation). In addition to being presented live at the conference the workshops will be recorded and available for registered conference participants for a limited time following the conference.

If you are interested in presenting a workshop at the conference and helping your fellow Toastmasters and other conference attendees “Unlock their Potential,” please complete the application.

Speaker's Corner

The Speakers Corner, a unique and exciting new feature at our district conference, offers some members a special opportunity to take on one of our longer Pathways projects.

We understand that many of our members aspire to complete one of the longer Pathways projects but often struggle to find the time in our regular Toastmasters Club meetings. The speakers’ corner provides a solution, allowing you to present your speech to the conference audience.

This is what will happen:

– The maximum time allotted for the speech is 25 minutes.
– You will have no access to projectors or other AV tools.
– The speech will be held in one of the two lobbies (people may move around in the lobby during your speech).
– At least two evaluators will evaluate your speech.
– The speech will be recorded.

You can apply for one of the three speakers’ corner opportunities during the conference by filling out the application form.

District International Speech and Evaluation Contests

We are thrilled to host the District Speech Contests in person at the Conference.  This year, we are presenting the International Speech Contest and the Evaluation Speech Contest.

More information will be available as clubs, areas, and divisions hold their contests to bring us the best the district can offer contestants.

Separate tickets will be available for the contests.

Author's Corner

The conference will feature an Author’s Corner by Toastmasters from our own District.

Each approved applicant will be given an area in one of the lobbies to share, present, discuss, and perhaps sell your books.

In addition, a panel discussion is planned where you, as an author, can share your experience with the conference audience. The panel discussion will be recorded and made available to registered conference participants for a limited time following the conference.

Please complete the application if you are interested in presenting your work as an author at the conference and helping your fellow Toastmasters and other conference attendees “Unlock their Potential.”

Note: If your book touches on one of the five workshop topics, consider also applying to present a workshop at the conference.
